When you'd rather have someone in the room with your teenager.

One-on-one college counseling for a small number of juniors and seniors. I work directly with your student on the list, the testing plan, the essays, and the applications, so you can go back to being the parent instead of the project manager.

Twelve families a year. Applications are reviewed as they come in.

first, let me talk you out of it

Most families don't need to hire a private counselor.

Really. Here’s how I built this: families start in The College-Bound Parent Collective, ideally in 9th or 10th grade, and for most of them it carries them all the way through senior year. If you want to understand what matters, know what can wait, and guide your own kid through it, that is what the Collective is for, and it costs a fraction of this. Collective members also get first crack at Dream Team applications before they open to everyone else.

The Dream Team is for something different. It is for the handful of families who get to 11th and 12th grade and would rather have me working with their teenager directly.

one

Maybe senior year is already loud at your house and you do not want college to be one more thing you fight about.

two

Maybe your junior has no idea where to start, and will not hear a word of it from you.

three

Maybe you just want somebody who does this for a living sitting on your side of the table.

introducing...

The College Dream Team

Complete one-on-one college counseling for juniors and seniors. Two years, not two months. I work with your student through the list, the testing, the essays, and every deadline, and you get to stop carrying it all alone.

Here's what's included:

The official list is below, but the real answer to what’s included is whatever your kid needs. For one student that meant reading a book together to prep for an essay. For another it was building a system to keep up with daily assignments. For one girl it meant helping her make a video to send to admissions.

Time With Your Student

Zoom or phone check-ins with your student, hands-on during crunch time and steady the rest of the year. Email and text support for students and parents both. No rigid schedule, no wondering what comes next.

Tools That Keep It Straight

A College Planner Pro account for deadlines, tasks, file uploads and the calendar, plus a shared Google folder for essay drafts and resources. It all lives in one place instead of in your head.

Testing and College Visits

The SAT versus ACT guessing game ends here. A full diagnostic through Compass Prep with a one-on-one evaluation, plus free self-paced prep. And through CampusWink, three virtual tours with real students at schools your kid picks, plus two in-person tours.

what we cover

Two years, year by year.

Junior year we build the foundation. Senior year we bring it home. By the time your friends are panicking in October of senior year, your house looks nothing like that.

1.

JUNIOR YEAR

Build the foundation.

Course planning and grade strategy. Activities and leadership coaching. Building the college list and planning visits. The testing timeline and prep. Executive functioning and goal setting, because a plan only works if your kid can actually run it.

2.

SENIOR YEAR

Bring it home.

The personal statement and every supplemental essay, with no caps. Application and portal management. Scholarship lists and scholarship essays. Surface-level financial aid questions answered along the way. Final submission review, start to finish.

3.

THE WHOLE TIME

A neutral voice at the dinner table.

The thing parents tell me matters most. When it comes from me instead of you, it stops being a fight. You stay the parent. I will be the one chasing the deadlines.

Kind words from families

Text messages and comments from parents thanking Lindsay for her guidance
Hi there, I'm Lindsay!

I've been on both sides of this.

I'm a former high school counselor who spent 15 years in public education, and I'm raising two boys of my own. So I know the counselor's desk and I know the kitchen table at 10 p.m. When I tell you it goes fast, and that it isn't overwhelming if you do it in order, I'm not saying it from behind a desk. I'm saying it as the mom doing it this week. The only difference between us is that I know what's coming. That's what I'm handing you.

frequently asked questions

You've got Q's? We've got A's.

The ones families ask me most, answered straight.

Surface level, yes. I’ll answer your questions about how the FAFSA and CSS Profile work and what the numbers mean. What I don’t do is fill out the forms for you or tell your family what you can afford. You know your whole picture, and that part stays with you.

Not yet, and that’s on purpose. 9th and 10th grade is exactly what The College-Bound Parent Collective is built for, and it’s the best place to start. Most families find it’s all they need. If you get to junior year and want me working with your teen directly, Collective families get first crack at Dream Team applications, and everything you’ve paid in, up to $997, comes off the price.

Then everything you’ve paid in, up to $997, comes off the price of the Dream Team. You also get to apply first.

Applications are open until April. After that my year is full and I start the next one. Twelve families, that’s it.

Your student. I coach, they write. Nobody hands a college something their kid didn’t say.

Not at all. You’ll know what we’re working on and what’s coming next, and I’m reachable by email and text. You just stop being the one nagging about deadlines.

the details, plainly

$8,500 for two years, or a payment plan.
