By accessing or using our college counseling services, website, or related materials (“Services”), you (“Client,” “Student,” or “Parent/Guardian”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Services.

Definitions

• Consultant: The college counseling professional(s) providing services.

• Client: The individual or family purchasing or using our services.

• Student: The individual receiving counseling services.

• Services: All college counseling, consulting, and related offerings provided by The College Counseling Mom.

Scope of Services

We provide guidance and support in the college admissions process, including but not limited to:

• Assessment of academic and extracurricular profiles

• Recommendations for suitable colleges

• Application strategy and timeline planning

• Essay brainstorming and review

• Interview preparation

• Standardized testing guidance

• Financial aid and scholarship advice

Our services do NOT include:

• Guarantee of admission or scholarship to any institution

• Writing or completing applications or essays on behalf of the student

• Influencing admissions decisions or outcomes

Payment Terms

• Fees: All fees for services are outlined in your service agreement.

• Payment Schedule: Payment is due as agreed upon at the time of initial purchase.

• Accepted Methods: We accept payments via credit card (processed through Stripe), PayPal, and Cash App.

• Late Payments: Payments not received by the due date may result in suspension of services until payment is received.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

• Notice Required: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

• No-Shows: There is no charge for missed appointments (“no-shows”). However, repeated no-shows may result in the cancellation of services at our discretion.

Refund Policy

All payments made for services are non-refundable. By purchasing our services, you acknowledge and agree that no refunds will be issued for any reason.

Confidentiality

We respect your privacy. All information shared with us is kept confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties except:

• As required by law

• If there is a risk of harm to the student or others

• With your explicit written consent

Intellectual Property

All materials provided by Lindsay Phillips and/or The College Counseling Mom, including guides, templates, and resources, are our intellectual property. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use these materials for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Reproduction or distribution without our written consent is prohibited.

Client Responsibilities

Clients and students agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information

• Attend scheduled meetings on time

• Complete their own applications and essays

• Notify us promptly of any changes in circumstances

Warranties and Disclaimers

We do not guarantee admission to any college or university. Our advice is based on professional experience and the information provided by the client. Outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lindsay Phillips | The College Counseling Mom and its consultants are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for services rendered.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with written notice. If services are terminated for any reason, including repeated no-shows or breaches of these terms, no refunds will be issued for any payments made or for any unused services.

Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
